The brakes have been converted to discs up front and there is a Bluetooth stereo in the passenger cabin. The SS has a set of headers with a pair of Flow Master glass-packs. It carries an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor and the ignition system is now electronic. The cars also had an all-vinyl interior with bucket seats and a center console for the Powerglide automatic transmission as in the seller’s car. Located in Los Angeles, California, this SS is available here on Facebook Marketplace for $50,000 OBO.įeatures of the 1964 Impala SS included different side moldings, SS wheels covers and the SS emblem on the rear quarters. But it’s received a few performance upgrades to the engine. This ’64 beauty is one of those cars and looks to be in great shape with both its original paint and interior intact. But the full-size Chevies were making noise of their own as the Impala Super Sport (or SS) was now a series of own and more than one third of the 536,300 Impala 2-door hardtops built that year were Super Sports or some 155,000 cars. The big news at Chevrolet for the 1964 year was the introduction of the new mid-size Chevelle, which turned out to be a big hit.
